Quick question, is the BB version of the ZF the same as the one in the Dura? Just wanting to figure something out before I start searching.

Thank you sir I thought so but wanted to ask the guys that knew for sure. Found a few BB ZFs a little cheaper then the others.

Not sure if I can do it or not but can I run the ZF behind a 454 in my old truck? Would like to do that while I gather other parts to do a diesel conversion.
They should bolt up. They have standard gm bolt pattern. Not sure on flywheel n pressure plate n clutch combo to make it all work. N then the hydraulics connected to zf.
i dont think the clutch would be as much as a problem as the flywheel i am not sure if one from a 8.1 will work on a older bbc or not if it does it would be pretty simple good luck and keep us posted on how it goes
