Yukon 30 spline axles any good?

Anyone have any experience with the Yukon 30 spline 4340 Chromoly axles? Kind of figure while I'm doing gears and a TruTrac, might upgrade axles. Really don't want SCS since they are puck style, don't think my center caps will go back on.

Also, when I look.up the part number for the 4340 shafts, some of the descriptions say 1541 alloy. Whats the difference

Dual splined, which I think you're referring to as 'puck style,' will be substantially stronger​ than single splined. Even if their the same material.

Thought they were, but I don't think my center caps will go back on.

Yukon makes make 2 different grades of axles, 4340 are stronger.

I snapped a 30 spline on the first pull after I built my motor, and the other side was twisted pretty bad. Went to 38s and never had a problem

In my experience with sled pulling stock axles lasted as long as aftermarket 30 spline. It wasn't until I went 38 spline I quit breaking them
