Who does your tuning?
I did some testing today and I believe my issue is timing related. I didn't have time to hook up to a big trailer but adding a couple degrees made a huge difference.

Steve. Him and i talked about that and he suggested the same. i just gotta send him me damn current tune lol

No. no need for it as its nothing that cant be changed in the single tune along with my other outlaying issues

hahaha oh really. well i guess its not as bad as we were thinkin.

Yea at WOT it'll go to about 1.7:1 which is way better than the stock turbo. But anything below drive pressure stays low. I'm not sure if I should ask for more boost. I need to throw my truck on the trailer and drive it around.

So to push this back up. Steve spent some more time on my tune while we took a trip to SD a few weeks and did some "faking" of the trailer on the back up some hills to see where timing would be at, fuel, ect ect. Made a whole bunch of tweeks and in sort finally got to put it to a tow test this last weekend.

i had the zuk on the back on my flat bed headed to camp verde which is all up hill with a few 6% grades in the mix. cruise was at 70mph and i wasnt being easy on it up the hills. outside temp was a muggy 100*. total tow weight was about 4.5k. up the hills i never saw egts go over 1k when i dropped to 4th gear and oil temp never got over 235*. there was quite a bit more throttle up the hills than i usually do with the toy hauler on the back as well due to traffic and me needing to get to highway speeds after a trucker would slow me down in the slow lane. fuel mileage went up as well which was nice.

Do i think this is a 100% fix for my issue? no but its a damn good start in the right direction. few more tweaks and she should be good to go for next summer.

Sounds better, try it out. Do you have blankets on your turbos? Just didnt know if that would do anything or not. I ordered one for my big turbo yesterday. Just a thought, keeping underhood temps down could somehow help overall.

James I have been towing the boat around the last few weekends and comparing the info with the new ported and batmo turbo with the info from last year that I gathered while testing my oil cooler it seems that my egts are down 40-50 deg and I can slow down slower than before without falling under the chargers and having to shift down. Everything else was close to the same as before and the conditions were comparable to before also.
I know there was some questions about the batmo so Im sharing my results with it.

Thank you for that. After retuning the truck, the turbo/wheel setup has not even become another thought since. Thing spools way quicker than before and overall I've dropped 175* in egt's at cruising speeds. Sounds like a shit load but that's just how high it use to cruise at. Went from 800* down to 625ish

Well I finally added enough timing to get the lmm to rattle. And it still smokes accelerating from 60-70mph. Then I started to add boost. It stopped smoking but my EGT's went up. So I started lowering timing and the EGT's dropped some but still higher than I would like. I have to hook up a trailer to see how it does. But I don't think it's flowing enough air.
