what are you doing with the truck daily driver or not?
I did a shifter mod to mine and I got a thread on it. shortens the throw of the shifter and shortened it a little bit. took the bushing out of the shifter and you can feel where the gears are way better. but it rattles I have a vid of before after and the rattle if you can deal with it its a priceless mod considering its free to.

Yeah it's my daily driver/racetruck/work truck. :) she does great but there is nothing better than banging gears. Trust me I've read all of those short throw threads. I would probably take that bushing out too. This valair is a custom clutch with a newer type of material. It's 'supposed' to be a lot quieter for a dual disk. But I guess I'll see! :D

mine is ceramic south bend its the 650 hp the 750 is identicle everything exept the buttons of material are feramic on the 750.

noises don't bother me. everyone always asks in line at the drag strip what that noise is my trucks making when I push my clutch in. I always say I have no clue:roflmao:. between that my caltracs slapping, my front tires rubbing the plastic, and my rear shocks squeaking it makes for a very noisy crappy sounding truck. but I pulled a 13.4 out of it. I need to epoxy my knob back on I ripped it off for the second time today. molded crap:mad:

Haha yeah you got some noise comin from that thing ! I'd love to break 12's with the zf. I'm sure I could when enough powa. I don't mind the clutch rattling either . The clutch I have is built for 700 I believe. But it doesn't do much good sitting in a box haha.

im 4 tenths from the 12's with 4 blown shocks street tires and I haven't raced with this shorter shifter yet im still stock turbo to.my caltracs were to tight after lowering the front so I have to get it back down there I adjusted them today and it lowered the back of the truck a good 1 and a half inches is should launch a lot better now. I have the fuel and a good low elevation track just not enough air out of the stock turbo I think ill be in the 12's within a year.

Yeah , you should be good to go then my friend. Have any in cab videos of you running down the strip? I'm gonna keep my stocker for a while , but I'm torn between a single 3 or 466 or just a 475 over stock. But I've got a whole before all of that good stuff

Sumbitchhh man a 480 as a single ? That's large ahah. Yeah I know I'm gonna miss gears like a mother when I first get it swapped. I read that thread with the guy and his hand throttle on his shifter. That shit looks handy for 4wd launching. How exactly can you launch without 3 feet?

truck usually stays still. no need to hold the brake. I launch at 3400 rpm's. hold the clutch wait for the light when you see the yellows dump that bitch and floor it. and get ready to shift really fast second gear don't last long on a hard launch.:D

Is it for the LMM in your sig? If so, what all has to be done on the electrical side of things to make the swap work? How much for your 6 speed outright?

I'm sorry guys to be honest I don't know all of the electronic side of things. I'm not doing the swap, I've got Scarface diesel for that, but I do know lmms have not been swapped 'correctly' . Yes the swap is for my 2008. And I'm not sure how much for my trans, there's 117xxx on it and counting. Make me an offer! :)
