Well, last time I did that it took allot longer to get there and my EGT's were +1800* and that was after I let of the throttle. I wasn't looking during...so I can imagine the EGT was closer to 2000*


This time I didn't even see 1400*
Thanks for the cautionary advise tho, we'll see how long it lasts and I'll expect an "I told ya so"

When I saw my gauge all I could do was imagine the pistons glowing and breaking down...
I was like , aw fug...
It was a year an a half later the #8 let go while on the freeway with the cruise set at 63mph

Go figure...

I would say it is safe to say never set your cuise at 63, it's a good way to melt a piston:roflmao:
