I am going to buy a new toyhauler and was wondering if anyone has had any problems with a Keystone Raptor toyhauler. Going to haul it with the 07 classic 2500HD. Any other good brands of toyhaulers?

Thanks

I've heard the raptor's are pretty good.
I've been looking at the Stellar's, they seem to be pretty good too.

One of my best friends has that trailer, he had to have it shipped back to Indiana to get all new fiberglass sides on it 3 months after he got it...Blew 3 tires on it 7 months or so after he bought it, and besides that, it seems to have been a good trailer. His wife loved it though, much better than the wonderer wagon they had.

Check the GVWR-it may be too heavy for your truck! I know my 30' Tahoe Toy Hauler bumper pull is 9000# GVWR so I'm good but the same size but 5th wheel would have put me over.

You may want to reconsider

I recently bought a 3712TS and had to upgrade my F250 to a Duramax Dooley. The Raptors are heavy and frankly I've concerns about the quality. Ours has been in the shop for work several times. The tires that came on it are cheap and we had three blowouts in one day and neither the tire manufacturer or Keystone would help with the repairs. I know my next camper won't be a Keystone.

Unfortunately, the options are getting fewer and fewer when buying trailers. There are really only 5 or 6 manufacturers left in N.America since the big ones like Travelaire quit building, MVP/Tahoe went tits up. I just bought a Tahoe in April. And found out 2 months ago they closed their doors and no warranty is being offered.

The keystones all seem nice out of the factory. I havent had any trouble, or seen too many goofs on them. They all appear to be well built trailers. Dont know about long term.

I know theres a brand or 2 I have had problems out of multiple brand new, straight out of the factory trailers.

Raptor 3612

I"ve had a Raptor 3612 model for 18 months and never had a problem, but like Chad said the tires aren"t very good. I already replaced all 6 of mine.

I know my Raptor looks naked:D

Keep in mind when looking for "quality," and I use that term in the most liberal sense of the word, any of them are only so good. In our group we have all Weekend Warrior and Thor and use them a lot compared to other people I know (10 or so trips to the dunes a year).

I have an 07 Weekend Warrior fsc2800 and it is marginal at best, but they went out of business and are in some sort of buyout or restructuring or something now anyway. It looks cool and does the job. Cabinets and plumbing suck. I'm no longer suprised when I see water on the floor from somewhere under the sink. One of the freshwater pipes is leaking as of this weekend. The nifty pantry that is supposed to hold canned stuff isn't built well enough to hold dirty socks. My buddies Thor had an inverter that didn't work from the factory and his TV/stereo stuff was wired so it didn't even work also from the factory . My refrigerator started leaking yellow stuff within a month of getting it (fixed under warranty).

Good luck and have fun with whatever you get. They are basically all junk if you ask me, it's just a question of finding which one is less junky than the rest.

Pretty nice for a $100 000 beer can on wheels! Good enough to haul one ATV at least.
