Damn, that thing screams.
I always thought it was cool how the boxer sounds at low rpms. Sort of lopey & almost like it has a miss.
Anxious to see the track times!

I'm goin to Dallas this weekend to pick up a rebuilt shortblock from auto science and with the new heads, water pump n timing belt It should be ready for many more miles :) your car is badass btw! Mine aint gonna be all that quick but its also my wifes dd driver so its ok. Think it should still do easy low 13s tho(maybe a 12.9;)) since it did a 13.5 on the stock turbo

Glad you have a plan of attack already. Hope you have better luck this time around!

I could see high 12's on the stock turbo no problem:thumb:

Sweet build, i like that you do it all yourself! Im thinking about buying a 05-07 legacy gt (actually bid on one today), any thoughts on those?

Thank you!

Turned up the boost tonight.. about 24psi now. Thing gets down hard now...man... it's really fun  But my 1130cc injectors are at 95% and I'm running 12.1:1 afr's.... feels a fair bit stronger than the old motor did at 27psi.... :)

I love the Legacy GT's! Those are really nice all around cars.... I would love to have one just because! Basically the same driveline, just a bit heavier. The spec B comes with an STi 6 speed (first year of the spec b didn't iirc). After swapping in a 6 speed, I would consider this. Only problem is the spec B has a lot of other fancy crap that makes it cost way more... but if you want to mod it the 6 speed handles boat loads more power. If you don't want to get crazy with mods, no worries. Nice car:thumb:

Do you feel safe tuning it yourself? Romraider/Ecuflash is free, and it's amazing stuff (just have to buy the cable)... there are some free base maps you can start with too...

Open source is great... (if he knows what he is doing)

I run open source on the stock ecu. With the latest developments in this world I have my car running on Speed Density, built in Launch control and flat foot shifting. I also have the capability of using anti-lag, rotational idle etc.

No lift to shift and LC and SD are serious features to have on the stock ECU... car runs great with big cams because of the speed density. Open source for these is amazing.. great software, good support and it's free:thumb:

Here is an updated video from today:

Swapped over from my Holset he341 to a he351, making 23psi and injector duty cycle is 95% so I'm stuck here for now.

When are you going to take this beast out to the track? I keep expecting to see some 1/4 mile ETs.

That is awesome man. I love those little cars. With all those gauges looks like you could benefit from some type of data logger. Not criticizing either, just saying, but im sure they aren't cheap. Im very impressed with all the fab work you do and the fact that you do your own tuning. Cant wait to see track times.
