Wrapping exhaust housing and downpipe?

Is it worth it to wrap my exhaust housing and downpipe? The material isn't cheap.....my turbo spools very quick already. Would I see a drop in egt or egt recovery?

Levi's blankets are better, IMHO. Downpipe, eh, I tihnk so, and definately the turbine.

No drop in EGT would occur Johnathan. It does drop under hood temps a good bit.

I'm having Levi make a blanket for my turbine housing. Having my uppipes ceramic coated would be nice but I can't have the truck down for more than a week.

I just got back a set of up-pipe blankets that a customer forgot to install when the trans was out and didn't want to pull the pipes to install. If you're interested I'll let them go cheap with the turbo blanket. Food for thought. :thumb:

After melting my old coolant bottle from my 480, I wouldnt hesitate to buy anything from Levi. Sh** works great.
