My truck has rancho 5000's with green keys and 35's, they are holding up fine with alot of abuse done to them. :thumb:

I have road in trucks with bilsteins and this is what i have observed, on a real choppy road both brands perform about the same(way better than stock) where the rancho's seem to shine over the bilsteins is on bigger bumps, the ranchos seem to keep bouncing a little more under control.

Bilsteins are a good shock but ranchos are better IMO

I agree. However I have messed up one of my ranchos already. They have been under alot of abuse though. Goin 60 down ranch roads, goin over bumps that I'll occasionally catch air on haha, and drag racing. I wouldn't imagine the drag racing to do much though. I do think the ranchos are too soft on the lower settings and not stiff enough on the higher settings though.

What happened to the shock? i wish my 5000's were just a touch stiffer.

I have had the frontend of my truck off the ground a few times:D but my bump stops hit before my shocks are at full extension

there are 2 different bilsteins though that we get. the yellows ride better but most of us are probably using the zinc plated ones; which ride harder they say.

Kind of hard to explain but basically the top of the shock casing got flattened. I mean its still functional but defintely not the way it should be. Just waiting for it to give before I replace it.

Have 9000's on mine. Night and day difference over stock. Never ran bilsteins, can't say anything to their ride, but the ranchos dafinately make a huge difference, especially with a trailer.

IMO Rancho 9000's would work better for a drag racing app. They are a little bit bouncy with the bars cranked on the lower settings. But work well for a daily driver, Drag racing truck.

I got yellow Bilsteins shortly after getting my truck new and they where way better then the stockers. Driving around job site would bottom out my suspension all day long stock. The Bilsteins made it bearable in very rough terrain.

I had a stock shock snap the lower eye off at stock height & 265s.
I had zinc bilsteins too harsh of a ride for me.
Went to Rancho 9000XLs, I like the ride & adjustability
