Lowered trucks are dumb and gay and...... Gross
Damn Josh, that's one helluva a load, out of curiosity, did you have a pallet count?
You will like air bags:thumb:
360*50= 18000lbs
Depending on the wood some pallets similiar to them can weigh 65#'s each. That would put him OVER his GVW he stated.
You definitely have to be a little more aware of how you're driving off road, but I've never ran into a problem. Then again, I don't go anywhere more severe than a pasture or a road ditch, and I avoid the big holes.Love the look, and the stance. Looks killer. Id like to do mine being i wont use it for snow plowing anymore, but im affraid goin out west hunting might be tough with a lowered truck due to clearance. Dont know tho, never have owned one.
The wind drag was unreal. Even running 55 mph in 4th gear, I was still seeing 1100 to 1200 degrees on the EGTs and oil temps in the 240-250 range.not really... biggest problem is wind drag... it would pull better if he tarpped it.
he is about maxed out axle/tire wise with that setup
i run up to 26k with probably 200-300 less hp then josh has on a daily basis.
Mackin got it right. There were 360 on that load.Damn Josh, that's one helluva a load, out of curiosity, did you have a pallet count?

:roflmao:Nice load. Lowered trucks always get better mpg when towing as the trailer is always going down hill.

:2birds: to both of you!X 1 million!
That particular load I don't think was actually planted on the frame, but one of the loads I hauled later was. It was a partial load that they started at the front of the trailer, and they were very heavy pallets. I'm afraid to even guess what my rear axle weight was.Definitely has some wind drag!!
I know my axle tube was hitting frame hauling cattle and I'm not lowered as much. Josh's axle had to be planted on that frame! Lol
Poor poor race truck
Those pallets weighted about 36 lbs a piece. I didn't actually weigh the load that was pictured, but after I was unloaded I weighed the truck and trailer (16k on the nose). Then I was loaded with 340 more of the same size pallet, and I weighed 28,220. Doing the math, you'll see the pallets are 36 lbs each. 36 x 360 = 12,960 + 16,000 = 28,960.360*50= 18000lbs
I didn't, but I can get some for you.did you take any pics when you moved the shackle brackets up, this is something i would really like to do
Stocknice looks better, what turbo do you have?
I used the PacBrake HP10019 kit. It is a universal kit that mounts on top of the leaf spring on the outside of the frame rail. It does require some drilling to bolt the brackets to the frame. Also, they require 8" of clearance between the frame and the tire, so I had to put some wheel spacers on the back to give them enough room. I used 2" spacers, but I think 1.5" would have worked even though they wouldn't have given me the full 8".Do u got a link to the bags im lowered and looking for some bags to help with hauling stuff no overload makes a big differents
