Yeah, I'm plannin on dabbling in the 2.6 class as well. I think the only true ws class pulls in my area last year was numidia, pa and mason dixon, md.

I understand why they are doing what they are doing ( to make it a more competitve class accross the board / allowing older trucks to be competitive ) . It does suck to sink the money in a turbo setup for 1 years worth of pulling just to have to sink another $1000 into to the same turbo to make it legal to pull in the class you belong in . I just wish now I had pulled in more workstock classes last year .

Idk about yall but around here they lock rules in for 3 years once they come up with them. This 2.5 is to cut down on cheating and make it easier to tech. It's a better class, imo it will allow a non points street class for the beginners. Not running points should keep out the big pullers dropping a class and beating up on the little guys. You don't ruin a class by going to a 2.5... There's already money sunk into every truck around here what's another 2500. Besides the cummins, there all built motors already in our once work stock (stock turbo) class. I look forward to next year!

My area is a little screwed up . I am in the middle of about 3 or 4 different sets of rules . I can go north and pull workstock south pull in a single cp3 2.6 class east there really isn't a street class and west is the cotpc . The workstock classes I did pull in were stock appearring turbo and cp3 ( not like KY and a few other areas where its stock oem turbo ). I know me I will complain about having to spend the money but I will probably breakdown and get a different wheel .

Yeah, I'm due east of you. They complain when the bigger street trucks show up to pull but yet they keep it a RWYB haha

I pull workstock over my way (Maryland) and all the guys around us still have the stock unmodified charger rule. we still are pretty competitive against the stock appearing boys when we travel to pulls outside of our area like the NADM east coast nationals. I have won there the last two years with a unmodified charger. like guys said earlier set up 80% of what makes a good pulling truck and if you get that nailed down the power will fallow in time. good luck this pulling season and getting into the sport, its a lot of money but a great time. :thumb:
