Stopped by O'Rileys today to pick up a fuel filter and for the LMM, the Wix brand he had in stock was 33910, not the one everybody has quoted on the forum..anybody else got this one? I was curious what the difference was. He has a part number for the old one but the 33910 was the only one he had in stock, so i bought it.

I believe the 33910 is the old one. The newer plastic version is the 33960xe. I think that's right.

Yeah, thats right. I finally figured it out. Supposidly, the 33960 is the most current one and it is plastic. From what i have read, the 33960xe is either not yet out or just beginning to get in stores. Its supposed to have a different filtering media in it. Maybe similar to the Racor Coalsar? thats just what i heard a guy say on DF

the new napa/wix palstic fuel filters have a reduced body area.. instead of having 1/8-1/4" between then filter body and valve cover you now have 1/2-3/4" inch
on then other hand then new filter is about 1" longer too
