Wipers turn engine off...

Yup, its odd but if it’s raining out and you turn the wipers on the engine turns off. If its dry out, then the wipers work fine and the engine keeps running.... any ideas, anyone had this issue? This is on a 2002 2500HD Duramax Crewcab

My buddies 7.3 would do this on occasion. Ended up swapping out the wiper motor.

Yes, wiper motor or arms are contacting something which shorts out wiring/ground. Play around with it, keep looking until you find it and can repeat the problem. and you'll find it.
