winter oil?

First time doin a oil change on my lb7. Still run 15-40? Doesn't get too cold here in michigan ..don't pay much to temps in the winter but I'm guessing below 0 is rare

I run 15W-40 year round with no issues, get everything setup to plug your truck at night and a winter cover helps a lot as well.

Thanks! I'm hopin my block heater works..I heard there suppose to make some noise but when I plugged it in the truck was already hot. I can't imagine they would make much noise at all

My block heater doesn't make any noise. And I run 15-40w all year round in my lb7

I think I'll be going to 5w40 this winter. Used 15w40 on the Dually for years but at -30C not plugged in she sounds like a monster! Gotta admit, I do kinda like the sound

I did nt think you can run 5-40 w oil in the lb7 just in the lbz on up. Learn something new

I just put 15-40 mobile delvac 1300 in her today.. what do you guys think my oil change intervals should be? I won't be doing any hauling till spring and just work and back during the week and runnin out to the huntin spot on the weekends. Probably, less then 1,000 miles a month

I run syn 15w40 all year. My truck has seen -50 at times.
