The truck has been on the road for about 4 weeks, just been having too much fun to update :thumb:

We got the motor in and it fired up nicely :woott: Let the clutch out and knock, knock, knock. The trans came out the bottom via creeper and it was mush box. Someone forgot to tell us ha ha.

Seller had a parts trans and I modded up a Frankenstein 5sp with a custom threaded drain hole and converted internal slave cylinder. :secret:

Its been a great project so far... now the kid gets to learn after market :D

4 years old and playing Lego, that sounds like he is right on track to be gear head :)

It has been a great project and his mom and I are happy as hell every time he gets off the video games to work on it.

Next up, he is going to learn how to put a new stereo in.:D

Yeah he is all about legos and his toy cars.

The stereo will be fun! Call me crazy but i love electrical work on vehicles.

I grew up on Legos. I remember when my parents started buying me the Lego 'Technic' kits, which were more in-depth and technical. Boy would I spend hours building those. Then once it was built I'd figure out ways to modify what I built. My tow truck had full working suspension and my loader had a working V-16 in it lol.

That's great to hear all your kids are really into this. We need more gearheads out there!

The little truck is working great. Although the original owner put 220,000 miles on it and fixed nothing; fan switch, clutch switch, dome light, stereo, door hinges, seat belt, dash lights, the list has no end in sight :(

We are looking for a nice bench seat if anyone has one. I'll pay shipping and whatever reasonable price you want for a really nice grey bench, we have had no luck locally.

That's an awesome project.

Can't you get the seat recovered locally?

That turned out to be a clean truck. Glad you got it running!

I have called a few shops. They would use a generic cloth and it would be at least $400

Thanks Tom. I have been following your progress, The Brick is going to be quick!

This is a pic of the seat I'm looking for. Taken of my '92 K2500 the day I sold it :(

Have you tried car-part.com?

edit: I just looked, and there are a bunch available in BC. You've got to do a "non-interchange" search, but they're there. You could even put cloth buckets in it. :)
