Found a smokin deal on an install kit to put the s475 over the sticker on my lbz. But just found out the kit is for an lb7. It is the underground diesel kit. What do y'all think? Can it work?

Gonna take more modification than it would be worth

X2 it could be done but I would buy a kit from a reputable company. Joe at HSP and Scott at SDP makes some very nice quality kits that fit awesome.

I went with HSP and I love the kit. Five stars, two enthusiastic thumbs up.

Get a fixed vane single! I loved the twins. But the power of a single was funner. Came on harder as well... My EGT's did go down too with ditching the Vvt with the s 475. If your towing late loads twins may be better for you . But single is cleaner IMO.

I'm saying screw it. Buying a danville Garrett Power Max Stage 2 GT3794va BatMoWheel and dropping it in. Selling my s475 and using that money for a pretty intake by hsp as long as it will fit with the sdp egr delete.

The 3794 dp is a 65mm and it a nice little turbo but if I were in your shoes I'd keep that s475 and find a twin kit. Keep drive pressure down along with egts (depending how its tuned) Does really well towing and will get the job done at the track. Ask me how I know. My engine has been beat for 3 years with twins and still going strong on stock head bolts. You can always throw a 66 for the stocker and get your 75 machined to an 80. Just my .02

We sell just the piping kits from HSP and SDP if i could help.

i think you will be MUCH happier with twins, especially if you get a good quality kit and already have the 75mm.

Let me know if i can help.

S366 was my first choice but then I got my hands on the s475 and to be honest I completely forgot a dang 366 existed. Wow. And the sdp kit looks quite nice. Do y'all know of anyone selling just the install kits? I can get a wastegated s366 for a good price.

Big singles are fun if your truck is mostly for play. They are not practical on a truck that will tow a decent trailer more than a few times a year. Put a decent trailer behind a big single truck and you will be hating life.

I dont think that is true. Granted if i towed everyday I'd be twinned, but I pulled close to 14k with my big single with no issues at all. wouldnt hesitate to tow that much again.

and I believe dmaxchris tows with his big single often, or at least used to.

Are you talking about the 466?
