First choice will always b short bed for the looks. If I had to work out of the truck, it would b a long bed. Or if I had to haul the mom n law around....:angel:
An 8' bed would allow you to close the tail gate. Neither a full sized dirtbike or a golfcart will fit in a shortbed with the gate closed. Of course Blue has a shell on it so I can't use it either.
And yes, I need to put a bunch of stickers back on my truck. It looks nekid.

Shortbed sucks for work thats for sure. Thats why I've got one of each, longbed to do the big nasty farm work and a shortbed to do the running around and hot rodding in. [I've got a Ford C/C Dually that I pull my 28 ft. gooseneck with, I hate the fact that it has no balls. I used to think the Powerstroke was pretty stout until I got the DMax. Now it's all I can do to not put a gooseneck hitch in the DMax and see how it handles the trailer. But I know if I do I will never hook it back to the Ford and then I would start screwing up my good truck, working it on the farm.:badidea: :coal:

I haul for a living, but it's all in a dump trailer. Back of my truck is just for tools.
That said, my next truck will be an ext cab long bed. But I think reg cab long beds look the best.

That's the one drawback to having a shortbed, our golf cart doesn't completely fit in, neither do the motorcycles, unless they go in at an angle
