I was just wonder because I have now seen 3 for sale shortly after they had tripples installed. If I just paid that kind of money for tripples I wouldn't be selling my truck?

You can bend rods with a stock turbo, so i dont think that the issue bending rods is kept in check by the tuning. ramen noodles:spit::roflmao:

Just a wild ass guess,

And speaking from experience and having had a lot of seat time in twinned trucks they become a money pit for the owners...........;)

All twinned or tripled trucks when properly tuned and set-up make so much power they become a battle to keep together.

After a while and upwards of $40K to build one plus the truck with all the supporting mods, etc you can get beat up financially and run down emotionally when it breaks all the time because you keep finding the weak links.

That's why race cars usually get rebuilt each season or after so many hours/races as preventative maintenance and that gets costly $$$$.

:thumb:

That's why I have two stock motor/turbo trucks, I have tuned so many and saw first hand how often they break parts that I don't need one myself.

:D

They either don't actually have the money to afford them or get pissed at them always breaking. I want to burn mine every time it breaks but as soon as its running again its another honeymoon experience. Lmao

True! Most fun I ever had with any of my Dmaxes was the stock turbo ones. Exspecially my lbz.

I know you can break them but if you dont go for max power it helps. I was told either add more air or add more fuel. I went with the safer route since i pull and didn't want high egts. I ran a 12.8 at bandimere thats plenty fast for me.

I was just curious on the tripples because i cant see that many being sold and for 3 trucks to be sold right after is a little fishy. I like trent and I like his work but it it to much air on the lower rpms hurting the motors?

I cant speak for the reason the trucks were/ are sold or being sold , other than I have been there myself , by the time you finish one of these trucks your wallet is usually pretty bruised and and usually a few credit card too . As far as reliability concerns I have ran 3 different sets on my stock engine truck and have been pushing it hard for a year now , as well as several other turbo's and it has held up ok considering , we have also ran Matts truck pretty hard all year and many others with zero issues on engine failure , the only truck i am aware of that has lost a engine with triples is a guy ran a race set of triples , 60% sticks and dual CP3's on his stock LBZ .................. it lasted a month :D but he knew what he was doing and had a build lined out for this winter . As far as how manysets we have out there, including the 2 sets we just got out of coating we have done 20 sets to date including my 2 sets .
