Hey guys im getting ready to pull trans for some pump upgrades and mike L springs bc im building my engine. Im currently running a SC1057 which has been an awesome converter best one ive had but im gonna need something a lil looser for the turbo setup i will eventually be running. My truck has a Billet s366 on it and thats what it will have for a lil bit after the motor build but it will end up with either a big s400 single or s366/s483 compund setup. Is the MLG K pretty streetable and how does it couple compared to a 1057? 1057 couples better than any other coverter ive owned but its just too damn tight.

Mike can answer better then anyone, but I don't believe the K converter is designed for a larger then stock turbo. I'm pretty sure it's designed for a quick spooling vvt or small twin turbos.

But no matter what the K is designed for, you need to know what turbo your going to run before you select a converter.

A large S400 single will want something completely different then a small 366/483 twin setup will want....

I thought the k was around a 2500 stall and coupled well, but thats why im asking. So an s366/483 spools that much quicker than say a 1.0/87/472

I ran the K. It's designed for higher stall s
Big singles. Spooled my remote s480 decently well with the setup I had. I'd run it again for sure but in your situation with a 66mm I don't think it's the best choice.

The G and the K are 2 different converters. The G is a tight converter and couples at a standstill. Let off the brake and it will walk away by itself. Great for blowing your tires off. The K is high stall and streetable. It stalls to a max of 2600 and couples like a mofo. The K was built for Verlon Southwick and Anthony Peleo . Both converters will push you up against the seat when you nail the throttle. Both are fun.

Thanks for the info. After my motor build i will still have just a single 66mm turbo for a lil while until i finish building my new setup, do you think the K is too loose for a 66 until i get a bigger single turbo or do big compounds. Basically can i grow into that unit so i dont have to do two different converters in 3 months? My 1057 wants to GO at idle. If its slick out the tires spin from just letting off the dam brake.
