Installed MBRP Cool Duals and lost the kitty. Hisses real nice at idle. Not too loud when
pulling my 5th wheel. Had lots of compliments on the sound.....

I have an aluminized front pipe, half of an old bully dog (i think) midpipe and a cheap muffler from ebay and an SS turndown with a vband courtesy of Russ (RPM Motorsports). I have ran 4" full, 5" full, 4" side exit, 5" stack, and finally settled on this. No muss no fuss keeps the soot on the ground and no drone, in the end it doesnt matter what you run.

save your money and go aluminized or go all out and get 304ss

409 is the biggest joke ever. You pay twice as much as aluminized yet it already looks like crap after 1 winter. My buddy Jed's 5" mbrp aluminized still looks mint after 4 harsh winters.

oh and if you use the u-bolt clamps, dont expect to ever get the exhaust off again without cutting it...

Who all makes a full 5 inch for the LMM? I want a full turbo back exhaust ....no dpf no doc etc etc.

Any kit that fits the 01-07 Dmax will fit the LMM. Here are a few examples of 5" kits that fit.

x2 any 5" kit will work. I know the 409 SS will still rust, but it won't rust all the way through, just on the surface.

Flow Pro makes a 409 SS kit for the Duramax that IIRC is priced about the same as the aluminized MBRP kit, pretty good deal, fitment is about the same as MBRP and it has a slightly deaper tone to it IMO.

I got the 4" MBRP aluminized kit. I ran the muffler for about a day then straight piped it. I lost the kitty with the down pipe back kit as well. It was too quite with the muffler IMO. The system was easy to install and everything fit pretty well for the most part. I will prolly step up to a 5 inch kit when I get the trans built.
