Just about to head out with my '04.5 2500. This Indiana storm will probably have me out for 15+ hours. At least I'll be warm and cozy unlike the guys who do sidewalks for us.

TX of course
I did when I lived up north about 12 years ago. I loved it. Once went 32hrs straight almost. I like getting out and doing walks too. I would get tired/sleepy of sitting in the truck non stop. We used gassers mostly diesels are to slow backing up. But our one 7.3l ford would stack snow to the moon it seemed.

Is your truck stock? I'd love to plow with a tuned Dmax.

My landscape company does snow removal. I have 6-8trucks, 5-6 cats, 2 sidewalk crews ect depending on the size of the storm. I plowed snow with my twinned lbz for a few yrs. Did just fine with 600+hp.

Although this yr is very good for us. We have been out almost everyday with all these small snowfalls. Almost plowing to much lately. Cuts down on ice fishing. Lol

I am a city plow driver and run a tandem dump truck with a wing. This year so far has been to many little snow falls 1"-3". Snow plowing 6+ inches and making the truck work is fun. I get flash backs to when I was a kid pushing my Tonka dump truck in the snow. Puts a smile on my face.....

X2^^^^ All these dam snows suck. Anything under 3 inches is boring now. Been doing it way to long. I'll have to look in the books, but I bet we have been out 25-30 times this yr already. Way to much snow plowing.
I have plowed 40-50 hrs straight so many times I can't count. I've been over 100hrs in a week many times. Worst was 146. Add that up. Never again. Zombie mode!!!!

Just straight piped and LBZ mouthpiece. I have an Edge tuner now but I won't plow with anything above the first setting until I get time to install and EGT probe.

I agree with all you guys about these constant 1" snows. 3/4 of our contracts are 2" inch triggers, but it seems like all them call in and tell us to push it anyway with every small dusting.

I don't know how any of you have plowed on a college campus, but I plow several places around Purdue here in Lafayette. These students are all idiots, walking behind my truck WHILE it's moving in reverse and making me slam my brakes on. Then there's the people who wait for you to stop for a half second while you switch to reverse and then cram their stupid car between you and a wall. I hate plowing when people are around, it's really the only thing that ever pisses me off about plowing.

Yep, we have around 160 residential driveways and a few parking lots we are plowing this year. We just got 10-12"s yesterday. Anyone else on here run back pull/plow's?

No,,but I'm thinking of making one out of my old cutting edge.Friend has one,his works great.

Not much to making one, Ive seen a couple front blades converted and they seem to work ok. I set-up 3 of my trucks with Daniel's pull plows mostly for our town house contracts and they work great :thumb:

Is it me or does everyone on Long Island NY have a plow on their truck now?

I bought a blade this year after being out of the game for 2 yrs and I haven't been doing that well. I was promised a couple of lots by a "friend" and ended up getting screwed. Between getting the shaft and being mandated to work for my real job, it's been a stressful year. I can normally get some last minute vacation and go freelancing but with every friggin storm now a state of emergency in NY, i get the shaft. I have the insurance and plow cost covered for the year but I need some play money. I noticed alot of our illegal alien friends out lowballing also.

Next year I'll setup the accounts alot earlier and just sub it out or give my truck to a buddy if I get stuck at work. I hate being an adult sometimes:baby:
