i have a 2001 duramax with 229,000 miles on it. The last few days i have been seeing white smoke coming out of my tail pipe when idling, and when i goose the motor, alot of smoke comes out, does not smoke at startup in the morning. Just seems to happen when the motor is warm. I can not tell if it is smokeing going down the highway or not.

Does the truck seem weaker than usual and how responsive is it? When my injectors went bad I had a decent amount of white smoke, very little power, and she was reluctant to move anywhere.

I would bet it's the injectors and if you've made it 230,000 miles on an original set your lucky for an LB7

The truck runs great, it just white or blue smoke when idling, should i run some kind of good cleaner through it? It had new injector pump back when i first got it , dealer replaced it.

Start with your injectors, find someone near you who can check them. White smoke is a good indicator for injectors or coolant getting in the cylinder such as head gasket or injector cup. Grey smoke is an indication of something mechanical inside your motor being broken

With a TECH II or equivalent. You can try and run some GOOD NON ALCOHOL additive and yes there is A GM injector cleaner that you can try also. Try and search for it here (the part number from gm) and give it a go I would.
