White smoke and weird noises

So I was out missing yesterday and somebody wanted to
listen to my truck so I revved it up a little in neutral. Well I saw it cough a little white smoke. Now I'm a bit worried. Also when I was leaving I hit it pretty hard and it made a loud popping sound and didn't really sound right and then went back to normal. It drives fine but I'm still worried it signs of somethin bad. Anybody think i have problems or am
I just worrying too much.


On another note I just installed my traction bars and I wanna take a few leafs out of the back. Can I do this if the holes for the bars have already been drilled and everythings installed? It may be a stupid question but i thought I would make sure and ask

Have you had any more noises/smoke since this one? Have you tried pulling codes, if any? I bet the smoke was normal but keep an eye on it, is your pcv re-routed, if so, is there excess oil at the end of the tube, excess white smoke coming from the tube, unscrew your oil fill cap with it running, is there excessive smoke coming from there?

also if the pcv is re-routed make sure you did not plug the hose shut with mud.

it did pop pretty good while he was getting on it...just on take off though. kinda like backfiring but only twice within a second.

I never re routed my Pcv. Kinda forgot. And to answer your questions about the codes Larry, I have this code that randomly comes on and randomly turns off. I can't read it but it'll pop up every now and then. Don't know if it applies to this or not though. I'll do the oil cap test after work and see what happens. I hav noticed in this past year a slight white haze coming out of my exhaust but I don't know if its bad enough to matter or if it's even a problem.

how do you know you have a code if you cant read it


go get you a good fuel additive and dump the recommeded amount in your tank and report back to us in a few days
