I cut a piece of steel out and welded the original hole shut. Then you can see from the one pic that I drilled another hole and welded in a 3/8" NPT bung and screwed a 3/8" hose barb fitting into that to run the hose to the turbo.

Under a big a$$ rock...
I just finished a GT4088 install on an LLY and I was able to utilize all the stock stuff. Truck has a banks intake on it and the customer didn't want to ditch it. Just had to "shave" the stock 90* elbow down to a 4" diameter and connect the two with a silicone boot. As far as the LB7 motor's go, its a little more of a pain!

Go figure that the LMM has been the easiest turbo install I have done, when everyone had first thought it wouldve been the biggest pain.:nanawrench:

We also moved the nipple farther over towards the drivers side-it was in my way!!!! Anyway, all i could find at the time was some Spectre pieces at O'rilleys.
The pics are too big for att so here is a link. Go thru the album, see if you can recogonize what the rubber 5" to 4" elbow is-plumbers should know:D

when i put my pieced together a5k on i had a dodge 4" tailpipe (they sent 2 for some reason) and factory airbox leftover. the tailpipe actualy fit perfect with the boot that went from the box to the silencer ! cheap but not too crude.

I second that John. I had a 4088 and the power to EGT ratio is wayyy off. Runs far too hot for the power you get, and it has the characteristics of a big charger as far as lighting but not the power. Pretty much a lose lose.

I would agree EGT's are high hopefully 2 1/8 inch up pipes might help a few hundred degrees. But you never know
