LBZ: Which tunner? Dustin(dieseladdiction) or tony??

My advice to anyone who is looking for a tuner is to ask around, take some rides in the trucks each have tuned, and find out what the policy is if you want changes to the tunes as well as the upfront cost.

Most if not all tuners charge for changes except for me, I don't see a reason to.

So keep that in mind because down the road if you need new tunes because of bigger injectors, twins, etc don't be surprised if many of the other tuners charge you over and over again for tune changes.

I do not know what Dustin's policy is so I am not saying he does charge you everytime, but most of the other tuners will.

Something to keep in mind as well as how the trucks run.

Dustin is also one of the few that offers free lifetime support. I personally dont think you could go wrong with either. Do what is easiest.

I'm with lwatson on this Dustin has built and tuned some nasty trucks he has tuned mine and a lot of guys I know Dustin also tuned a lbz that held the fastest stock truck record for a while and his tunes go mild to wild Dustin also does free up dates on his tuning for life so as u build your truck you can get free updates also Diesel addiction does everything from small trans safe tues to all out full motor build and turbo installs the point I'm trying to get at here is that if the guy who builds the truck is the same guy who tunes it the results r probably going to be better

Kind of off topic here, but would a lly charger with a batmo wheel and some 60% injectors make 600hp? i know a batmo wheel is only like $300, just seeing if its actually worth it. I have seen some say itll make like 40 more hp

I had a Batmowheel LLY charger on my LBZ with stock injectors/cp3 and it made 556 rwhp at a 3100us tune. EGT's never over 1575 no matter how hard I pushed it.

Could you make 600hp with said turbo and bigger injectors. Sure. Will it be safe? Not really. EGT's will be higher cuz the turbo will not be able to push the air well enough. The most I have seen out of a Batmowheel LLY turbo is 636 rwhp, with a stage 3 CP3, 100% injectors, manifolds and up pipes, RDL EGR Delete and Y bridge, boost tube. That was also Dustin's tuning. Guy was a sled puller.

i have seen tony's tunes(with sotck tranny, just had a lift pump and exhaust) out pull a truck with idaho robs tunning with tranny, lift pump, intake and exhaust. Just throwing it out there.

I have MOONSHINE in two truck love the tunes mostly stock other then trans and lift pumps one is on a stock trans with moonshine and we sled pull it quit often also not to mention getting 22ish for mph on both trucks drive ability is awesome he has a nasty dd tune good guy to work with too not bashing Dustin never ran his tunes I just know that I am happy with the tunes I have

Anyone? I was planning to go with Mark for some work and tunning since he does so much work on Duramax engines and has a dyno plus a fast truck. I just don't see that he tunes alot of trucks on here? Whats the deal? PM me if you want.

Yes mark can tune trucks. Have you seen his rigs in the past?? If they are a tuner and in this site they are good it's a toss up man.

Kory charges to upgrade tunes. For example if you put in bigger injectors he charges an upgrade fee. Charged me anyway.

he will tweak the tunes for free though. He has sent me a bunch of revisions of these tunes getting small issues worked out. Truck runs great. I cant complain.

I have a towing tune from mark at Danville in my lbz work truck puts 378 to the ground without a lift pump
I love the way it runs
