I'm saving up right now to get Suncoast III for my LLY. The kit comes with the 1056 but I see alot of guys going to the 1058. What is the advantage of doing this? The truck is my dd but after I do the upgrade I'm going to turn the Predator up and I'm kicking around the idea of entering a couple of the local truck pulls. Should I save the extra money up and get the different TC or should I be good to go with the 1056?

IIRC the 1056 is the best converter for a stock charger truck. After u get the money saved up ditch the predotor and get efi live. It will be money well spent

i currently have the 56 in my turck... over all it is 10x better then stock :D

the bad thing is it doenst match my tuning style... stall is too high for my likeing.. i have alot of power in the midrange.. and lower

iirc stall is ~2000 think that is with a PPE hot et 350 tune,,

mine stalls about 2400-2500rpm and about 16psi boost.

will see how she reacts to a built engine and possible turbo :D

if you keep with the pred you will be happy with it ;)

I have a 1056 with twins thats a pretty fun ride. I am kind of curious hows its going to act after the build, and turning up the yoke some.

See thats the thing, I'm thinking down the road of upgrading to a PPE. I think I'd royally screw things up with EFI Live.

Under a big a$$ rock...
EFI Live can be a handful at times but if you find someone good to write you tunes or buy your EFI Live from someone like McRat they will give you a really good starter tune, you should be fine.

I am awaiting the jury's vote on the new 1054 converter as I am due for a converter swap. My 1057 has treated me very very well but I am looking for another all around converter.
