Can someone post a diagram or pictures of where the shift solenoid c is on my 2008 GMC allison tranny? I am getting a TCM P0762 code. Thats the shift solenoid c stuck on.

I have the new solenoid, just need to know which one it is.

Thanks.

The long valve known as the E shift valve will cause that code. Does your truck limp to 4th gear?

also, whats the fix? This happened after I changed my tranny lines. Must have gotten some dirt in there. I pulled valve body and installed the Transgo Jr. The 2 valves that are held in by that bracket the hold the 2 accumulator cups in, is one of those valves the one your talking about? The valve with the spring did not pop out easily like the one without the spring. I tried pushing it in with my finger and had to push pretty hard until it did pop in.

If this is it, whats the fix?

The E-shift is on the other half of the valve body, its a long valve in the middle portion of the VB and its notorious for getting hung up.

Sounds like you got some dirt it there. Take the valve body back out and clean everything spotless before reassembly including the two valves you just installed. Make sure you watch exactly how the valves come out and be very careful to reassemble them the same way.

When done make sure you torque the vb bolts to the proper setting, over torquing can cause a valve to bind also.

You may have to ream the bores.

All the valves have to be free in theirbores. never force a valve back in the bore or you will have problems.

Just wanted to follow up.
We all know Mike Rocks!:thumb: Sure enough, the valve was hung up. Got it all back together and whew!, it worked. Headed into town and after about 12 miles...YUP! Same thing!! Same codes. Anything else that can cause a P0700 & P0762 code? Driving me a tad crazy! Going to pull it again and clean it again. Off to buy a new solvent tank and solvent. No way there will be any chance of crud in there this time. If it happens again, look for me on your news channel..."This just in.. GMC Truck had same problem as the Toyota stuck accelerator issue,...mysteriously drove over cliff while owner was taking a leak on the side of the road!"
