if you really dont tow, just pull the over load, its good for close to an inch, leave the rest.

also throw some 3" drop shackles or build some.

i have drop shackles mike. dont you remember our conversation when i wanted you to lower your truck haha?

Hangers boss.... just ordered a set for mine.

You dont mind losing load capacity?

nope. i dont wanna do hangers cos i dont ever tow and if i do im buyin bags anyway so it should be fine. Even if you have drop shackles if you tow heavy itll still bottom out on the bump stops.

So how did it work?

Worked well. I will get some pics up. Because the drop shackles crank the spring so high its a little nicer around town, doesnt feel so stiff in the ass end. One day when I finally buy some good shocks itll be really nice:rofl:. I just cant swallow that $270 price tag right now (yes im that cheap when it comes to things that dont make me go fast).

Reno, so did you just do shackles or did you pull leaves too?

Ive had shackles on my truck for about 5 months now, and I pulled the overload springs and all the steel plates between the springs. I just ordered drop keys and will get hangers eventually as well. I can put pics up if you guys are interested.

Under a big a$$ rock...

I just hacked mine off and left about 1/2" of material so if it does come up to contact it won't be smacking frame. I tow a lot with my truck and it was getting annoying when it would sit on the bump stops.

Also, just as a heads up if I remember correctly when you get around the 5-6" or drop there isn't much you can do about axle to frame clearance. A friend of mine had a truck with 5" of drop in the rear and it would hit the frame all the time!

So going with shackles/hangers in the rear, it is obliviously gonna change the pinion angle.....Is it bad enough to were one would want to run a 2*-4* wedge between the spring and spring seat on the axle to bring the pinion back up a bit.......?
