Hey guys, I know just as well as anyone, that for the most power and tunability.. EFI LIVE is the best for my LBZ.. but.. for my situation, and what Im going to use the truck for.. which is right for me?

Here is a breakdown of my truck, the uses, and how I drive..

07 Classic LBZ CC/SB 4x4.
I have to pull a 5th wheel camper for work.. alot.. so I need to have some sort of tow tune.. But when Im not hooked up to the camper, I love to go fast.. I currently run a triple dog (P.O.S.) and I run it on Extreme at all times when Im not pulling the 5ver.. and when I do get days off and get to go home, I like to go to the local track (1/8th mile) on test and tune nights can spank the ricers and mustangs..

Right now I have a 4" MBRP turbo back in my garage waiting for me to get home and put it on. And a set of Autometers (pyro, trans, boost) and pillar pod also waiting for me to get home and install. I definately plan on this fall/winter doing a stage III or Stage IV. and in a month or less I'll be doing the Cognito UCA levelling kit and Idler/Pitman and HD tie rods..

Now, knowing that.. is EFI live right for me? or should I go with PPE and get that hot unlock? I want more power than this BullyDog can give me.. but Im not tryin to make a sled puller or full out drag racer... Thanks for ya'll input.

If I knew what I know now, I would have bought EFILive long long ago, I would have never even thought about a canned tuner. even if I planned on staying pretty much stock. Also the price is about the same.

Awesome! Thats really what I was hoping to hear.. Is there a way to leave the EFI handheld unit plugged in at all times and just switch between the tunes as I need them? Or does switching tunes take very long? ALso, I keep hearing about "letting my Alli Learn" when I switch tunes.. but when I bought my Buly dog from the local truck accessory shop.. they didnt say anything about that.. also, how long does it take for my tranny to learn a new tune?

I would say EFI is the way to go to. As for switching tunes I think the DSP5 switch can do that Im sure someone who can tell you the details will chime in

EFI live all the way. I made the mistake of getting a PPE HOT +2 E.T. then I sold it and got EFI live. Just get EFI live the first time. Who ever you buy it from have them give you a race tune and a tow tune. You will love EFI live. Supposidly you will be able to switch tunes witht he V2 soon. Atleast that is what I have been reading and been told.

"0" DSP capabilities on LBZ and newer.
If you need DSP, get a Bully Dog.
If you don't like building tunes, or are not computer literate, I would suggest a PPE tuner.
