Which is better, Purchase an allison out of a wreck, and ship it over to Mike for a build up, or drop the one in my truck and send it over and weight? Also thought about taking a week off and driving it from Texas out to Mike and having him do the rebuild.

Unless Mike knows of a place in Houston that he would recommend.

Thinking bout a Mike L kit similar to a stage SC stage 4. Know that I don't need the stage 4, but the trans will no longer be the weak link.

bchaney, when are you planning on getting yours done?

drive to cali with a buddy, g/f, wife, or all 3 and go to disneyland for the day while the truck is on the lift. it will take that long anyways. then he can reset TAPS and drive it around and make sure its 100% before sending you on your way

TX of course
I've heard of Calvins. There are a few local ones that guys have used with no complaints. Michael's All Transmissions - Houston, Wendell's Transmission - Baytown, Relentless Diesel - Willis.
