It depends how long I stay in it, but max I’ve ever seen is approaching 1500. I usually back out before that, but if I’m blasting in the big tune etc, then I’ll let it flash high for a short run without worry. I never allow 1300 in regular use, I’ll back off or downshift, etc. before then.

I just put my EGT probe in the back of the driver side manifold from the underside and it was pretty easy, didn't have to remove anything to do it, I plan on getting a LML driver side manifold and seeing if the temps are any different.
