I have run them both. I'm currently running the M & H 30 x 14 cheaters. I run tubes in any bias ply slick on these trucks. These tires were never meant for this kind of weight and running tubes gives another level of safety. The tubes also help keep the truck settled better during hard accel and decel.
As for which is the faster, IMO the drag radials are faster. Are they quicker? Depends on the track and the truck. What i found is the drag radials worked well if the track prep was good and the track temp wasn't too hot.
The issue i had with the drag radials, was once they started spinning, they went up in smoke without much forward momentum. The cheater slicks will spin for sure, but are move forgiving and keep you moving forward, thus maybe salvaging the pass.
Basically, the drag radials are faster, but the cheater slicks are more forgiving. In my case, i can make more HP, but need all the help i can get leaving the line.
