Where in Utah other than Industrial (they wont even return your calls) can you get a set of dmax heads ringed and gaskets cut? I have a set of socal cnc heads got fd up by ups and would be use able with a fire ring.

Industrial bought a machine shop that was supposedly pretty good. I don’t remember what it was called, but you go through industrial to get anything done there now from what I understand. Maybe call them and see what they say.

Randy’s Machine is the one II absorbed. Not sure if Randy is still doing the work or not? They would probably have the most experience with doing them.

Yep. But if youl notice I mentioned ID not returning phone calls. They put Randys on lockdown. Now they want 3x the price and not interested unless your spending tens of thousands with them. Sorry but im poor white trash not vegas rat rods.
And yea Ive been to Randys back when he was not under ID lockdown and he is the best hands down.

So back to the show.

Who ELSE besides Randys or ID can do it local. :thumb:

Or how far can you mill it? the fng ups broke the box put them back in valve tip to head surface then kicked the rest of the way to me. bent 2 valves and gouged the fire ring area

Shows my reading comprehension skills! I breezed right past that. Sorry. Maybe ship them to SoCal? They package heads extremely well, I can’t imagine you would get back something damaged from them.

Yes ups paid out for the heads. It was a ****ing nightmare. I bought them last year and shits just not really been good this year. I dont want to ship them because I have shit sent to my shop daily and it all looks like it was ****ing kicked here. I called socal And Guy has sombody else running the show now and its all or nothing with that kid. He wants both heads to replace the one and do valve job and everything on both. Im just not made of money atm =) Lets just find me a place within reasonable driving distance. a day trip :thumb:

Call Gillette Diesel service maybe they can help. They are in Bluffdale.

I see this is just gonna go in circles. Thanks fellers

If anyone knows of a machine shop OTHER than Randys, Industrial injection C&T, Cleggs, Strausburg Let me know.
Im looking for some one with K N O W L A D G E of the BIG HP Dmax

Im not looking to spend 4 grand to fire ring a set of heads ( Industrial )
Not looking for some diesel shop that has bunch of idiot kids in the back ( Gillette )
Not looking for some one that Boast about building matt moons engine and it blowing up on first startup due to a crank pin that should have been a crank KEY! C&T
Im not looking for a shop that has 3 prices and ZERO Warranty on ANYTHING ! (Cleggs)

Sounds like you are either sending them to SoCal or I can recommend a shop out here in AZ

There's a couple in Cali, or several here in Indiana, Danville, Wagler, Freedom Racing Engines, maybe ship Fed-Ex with 10x the protection needed

No but if the package was insured it will at least cover the cost or some of the cost

Ive gotten screwed on the insurance more than once at work.

Literally been told. Sorry but that’s not our fault and clearly the box looks like it fell out of a 747 at 30k feet going 500 Mph. And when it left my facility it was in great shape and had plenty of packing.

Yea I know what your gonna say. I personally have shipped heads to Wyoming and I put the dowels in, slide a dense piece of cardboard between the faces and use threaded rod to clamp together then I put the valve cover on. And Nope I use a good quality box with thin ply lining it
