My peak for hp and trq is like 2700rpm. After 3500 i dont make much power atall. Maybe it has to do with the batmowheel idk, but im curious what area you guys are making power... And how close to that power range your shooting for rpm wise when up to ground speed?

A cam will move the power band. Even changing the cam timing of the stock cam with an offset key will move the peak power.

Not that you're going to pull with big twins, but just for reference, my race truck on the tune I race with is 1056hp @ 3600rpm 1624tq @ 3100. Small tune is 850/1320 @ 3700/3200.

I've got a hamilton cam. I bought it new 2 years ago, I think it was called the 2.6 cam back then. But I know it was just a brand new revision when I purchased it, so probably the same as there second biggest still? Maybe I can find the box and check the numbers on it this weekend.

I still believe turbo has about the biggest difference on peak power rpm, but my cousin dynoed his truck with s468 b4 and after building engine, cam does shift the powerband around but has minimal effect on power output...

i would think if you're peaking out at 2700rpm you could handle a larger turbine side and open it up would gain some hp. i'm guessing if your running a s400 frame you're running an 83 or 87 ? if you're peaking out at 2700 i would lean towards 83 or smaller?

It's a 850-900 horse class. 2.550 t4 Mine is the only smooth bore turbo and its going to smooth bore next year because noone knows how to tech a turbo. It will make it easy like a tractor just plug it that's it. I made 720 with lowish rail pressure last year. Got dual cp3 to fix my pressure issue then I ruined every single injector lol

thats interesting. i've never ran a smooth bore charger b4. i would bet alot of classes start restricting the turbo stuff more as things progressively get outa hand.
