Where did your piston crack?

I have a half baked theory I would like to check out.

If you cracked a piston, where did it crack? Left or right side? Or, looking from underneath the piston, the squirter cup side or the opposite side.

I got one that looks just like sikdmax's picture.
I think they crack there because the piston uses the pin as a fulcrum.

All of them crack along the pin. It is the side or the piston that I am interested in. Left or right. Sik's is on the left, away from the oil cooling jet.

Has anyone ever run a second squirter? Maybe off topic, but I think I see where fingers is going with this...

only potential issue I see with this is you might tax the stock oil pump a bit???

Might need a high volume oil pump to be able to use 2 squirters per cylinder effectively.

I'm no engineer but I'm thinking the same. Am I right in thinking the "dry" side is cracking because the heat isn't being dissipated like it is on the wet side? Basically the oil is absorbing and carrying away enough heat to keep the majority from cracking on that side. If that's completely off base or out of touch with reality let me know.

I am thinking more of how the wrist pin squirter "steals" oil from piston opposite the receiver cup. On my current pistons, I installed a divider in the cup to make sure the oil is distributed equally. Though I fear the opposite side will always be at a disadvantage.
