I'm looking for some body panel clips like these. The way they work is you insert them with the center part out, push the center part so it is flush with the head to lock it in place, and push it in further than the head to release them. They're kind of like the stock retainer pin clip things that hold in the wheel well liners, but they're easier to get out. I found them on a website, but there is a minimum $100 order. It is manufactured by TWFastex, part number 1R56 A 9 061 02. I did a search on Google, but came up empty handed. Anyone know where I can get some? Here's a quote from the information on the site where I found them and a picture.

The removable rivet is a one-piece unit that is quickly installed by hand or with automatic equipment. It is ideally
suited for applications where access to the back of the panel is impossible. The rivet is removable and re-usable
by using the tip of a thin, blunt-pointed instrument to depress the center of the rivet and release the locking mechanism.
Removable rivets are manufactured in a black polyacetal material.

Now that you mention it, I think I've seen them on some motorcycles before too.

The ones that I've seen at the chain stores are all like the factory clips in that you have to pull the center section out to release them. Josh is looking for ones that you can push it below flush to release it. I have some from AutoZone holding my license plate on that are the pull-out type - but they are much easier to remove than the stock ones.

i got some for my firebird once at Autozone that had a slit on top for a flat blade screwdriver. they looked like the factory ones, but when you wanted to remove them, you unscrewed them to get it out. i haven't looked for them in years, so i don't know if they still have them or not.

Those clips are used on Suzuki motorcycles.....if you want to check one for sizing, go to a dealer and ask to see part number 09409-07333. They are pricey, though- 2 bucks each.
