Where are all the Duramaxes at?

This is my first post on here. I don't really know much about the performance aspects of the duramax, but I love watching truck pulls. I mainly follow the pulls around northwest pa and eastern ohio. I noticed this year that all the duramaxes have disappered from the pro-stock class. It is all cummins now. What happened to them all? There was a couple of them the last few years, but this year I've only seen a black one that's new a couple of times, but he seems to be still working the bugs out. Anyone know what happened to them all?

Welcome to the site, you will learn a lot here!:)

Thank You. I look forward to learning more about the new era hotrods :)

Howdy welcome, I think all the pro stockers got tired of dealing with all the inbread 12 valvers out there pullin

So did they all just give up? Can the Duramax not hang with The Dodge at this level. I really was looking forward to seeing some more Duramaxs become competive this year only to be disappointed to not see any. I've seen a black one running duals that sounds mean, but it hasn't really done that well, and I've only seen it a couple of times. Anyone else know anything?

The d/d duramaxes probably got sick of bad restrictions and bushed out cummins getting trailered in talkin smack. Dollar for dollar dmax will run with anyone outside of 3.0 class. Then the mods are so crazy it doesn't matter what's wrapped around the engine....

From what I have been seeing and reading it seems the rules are catering to the Cummins, to many restrictions for us. If the Big Stick Shows up you'll get to see what the can do.

Is Wesley not running this year?

I just really want to see some more Duramaxs. Is the big stick going to make it out this year? What restrictions make it hard for duramaxs to compete?

Hopefully it will. I am very busy. I just got back from 4 days in Texas. I go to Hot Rod Drag week next week.

There are no restrictions that make it harder for the Dmax.

Nor are the Cummins inbred. Great bunch of guys in the Pro Stock division. I don't think the above guys have any idea what class your referring to

My job and the Dmax transplant stuff has been keeping me very busy.

Yes, I'm talking about Pro-Stock. Last year I remember a brown GMC, a blue Chevy, a blue GMC and I think a Powermax truck, but I haven't seen any of those this year so far.

The Brown GMC is the Big Stick. My truck.
The Blue Chevy is Bruce Leveto. He has moved on to flying helicopters for fun. He still has the truck but it is forsale.

The Blue GMC is now Black. The one you mentioned eariler.

OK, I wish I had the time and know how to build a pull truck, but I really enjoy watching. I'll keep looking for you guys at the pulls. I hope you get a chance to make it out this year.
