Maybe I'm missing something, but would you want to give me some info on where you got your twins? I had Trent PM me before, and he said he would get back to me in a week or something like that, but I didn't hear anything from him......and I know he's a VERY busy guy, and I"m not one to PM the crap out of people :) Esp. when they are busy.....but I'm def. looking at the best options too.

Dont hesitate to ask if your not understanding! Thats what seperates this forum from all the others I've seen/posted on. Not to speak for Trent but I know hes been really busy with his first production run of LB7 twins. Something around 9 kits or so. He has to fab up the different piping and brackets and such for each model duramax motor wether it be lb7,lly,lbz or lmm. I know for a fact there will be an lly group buy coming up after he fabs up the first lly truck he has lined up and he will build the rest off of the jigs he makes up. If you dont get in this time, he will be building them from then on after. As for pricing I will leave that for Trent to answer but it is public knowledge that his LB7's start at $3000 so I'm sure it will be in that ball park and the group buy price started around $2700

If you feel that twins is what you want, then my money is on what comes from Extreme Prejudice(Trent). Your the only one that can decide if its the "best" option for you and your truck. Any way you go, just keep in mind, If you wana play you gota pay!

your tuning could have been the issue as well... i am very confident that my tuning will ad in the longevity of my engines survival. I also NEVER! go over half throttle on the street just no point for me to do it.

i was going full throttle on the streets. and i ran a 2400 pw tune 99% of the time with the twins.

I blown 5 head gaskets on my lly and melted 2 pistons

rods are still good according to pressure test:(

I honestly think boost has very little to do with gasket failure...:(

i think heat has a lot to do with head gasket failure which is why i never had a problem. i never got over 1300* on my egt gauge to be honest my pistons still all look good im just not going to reuse them. you dont have twins on yout lly do you?

Well after talking to some people, and a phone convo. with the Big Dipper, I think I'm going with Twins....BUT....I'm not going to run 650-700HP through my truck either.....going to keep the HP around 500ish and use my truck for towing/daily driving/etc... on occasion I'll take it to the track, but not going to beat it. I hear twins do amazing things for a truck...and I was also told that if I take care of my truck and am not stupid with it, then I should be fine....there are many people running twins with 80K on their truck so far with no issues, hopefully I'll be that lucky too :) So I just PM'd Trent to get some more info!

Next weeks poll

Shoot...I give him 30 days, if that.

You guys are A-holes! HA. But on that note, for the ones who have twins, what HP do you run through yours on a DD? I don't want to do engine work yet, and so far I don't really beat on my truck.....but lower EGT's and a better top end make me happy! Also it seems that I might want to consider a tad bigger injectors....how much do those suckers run?

Injectors would be my next step, #1 cause of lower power engine deaths IMO is improper use of timing! Big timing wont kill an engine but big timing at the wrong time will kill it quick, fast and in a hurry!

Well you will first have to send yours out to get the work done to them. But they aren't to bad just takes a couple of hrs. Like 6 from what I've been told or heard. But I could be way off.

around 110-1500 from guy/brayden/ect. Some may have nozzle cores in stock so you can swap them out yourself, although you would need to send the whole unit in to have them tested like paint stated. I run George's and I gave like 7 or 8 something.

my question is youre only seeing 1200* egt's with Nicks max effort tune? thats like a 3050 pw tune. i know i have an lb7 but his 500rwhp tune which is a 2900 pw tune i could peg my 1600* gauge in 3rd gear. do the lbz's run that much cooler? fwiw with the twins and Nicks 500rwhp tune i see 1450* egts
