Same setup I ran for 2 years. Loved them but next go round in buying some light 18x10 and running Hoosiers new cheaters that are rated for more weight.

I'll vote for the Hoosier 325/45/18 radials. They have proven themselves, multiple 8sec diesel trucks running them so you know the traction is there. Guy I know is running them, stock engine lmm running 11.0 @ 122

What kind of 60' are you seeing with the radials? I was looking at running a 16x10 with a Hoosier QTP 28x14.5r16 since they are suppose to be a little softer compound.

Yeah those are too narrow. That's what I had before. I want a 14" wide slick now.

I run the Hoosier DR2s 30.2" tall . I've done well on them with a best 60' of 1.446 on Tune 3. That was on a 2nd gear launch . The track wouldn't hold Tune 4 or 5. It was on Fast Friday and they typically don't prep the track very well . I'm on the fence about going to M&H cheater slicks and 16" wheels when these wear out . The Hoosiers are 18" and the sidewalls are stiff and do not wrinkle . Yes they have a higher load rating but my truck is about 5820 dry . I think if I went with the M&Hs I will have a taller sidewall that wrinkles which will ultimately not break the tire loose and shood slingshot the truck out of the hole . Plus allow me to hookup in Tune 4 & 5

Everybody I race with has gone away from Hoosier and to M&H slicks. Granted I'm the only diesel truck out of the bunch. But several 6 sec turbo LSx trucks. And a couple 5 sec door cars.
