Mine was a shot from a distance by a dumbass teenager who shot in my direction while hunting a few years ago. I am lucky that it didn't take my head off or eye out, and he is damned lucky that it knocked me down and addled me enough not to immediately retaliate.

so true!! ... reason i wanted to know was i took a partial load of 12 guage #7 in the back about 6 years ago, and i was curious if it was a hunting accident or if you were in the hood stirrin up trouble.... somehow i can see you doin both. :rofl:

Yeah, Wes, it was a couple of rich kids from up in the city that were out hunting without even a rudimentary understanding of firearm safety. The law found them, but their daddies' money kept them out of trouble.

I keep my activities in the 'hood to a minimum these days.

I'll bet that load of bird shot got your attention.

that sucks .... there is no better way to teach someone the hard way than to let the law do it. sounds like they needed it.... too bad they didn't have parent sthat cared enough to let them learn.

that it did. i know what you mean about gettin addled. from about 50 feet away, about half of the load went through a thick hoodie i was wearin and about a dozen or so pellets actually got through the shirt and under the skin. knocked me on my face, didn't know what happened. still have no idea who it was and being dove season in AZ, it coulda been one of a thousand idiots down there at that time of year...

i just hadda ask gunshot wounds alwaysa make me curious. hell, any wound makes me curious..... :rofl: i'm a little morbid
