That's good oil pressure :thumb: Someone could have had the cluster apart sometime and didn't put the needle back on correct as well.

Your 01 LB7? Those pressures seem high. Mine normally is 25ish idle, 60ish on freeway. You may want to verify your pressures with another gauge.

With 5w40 mine tends to sit around 30-35 hot idle, 40-45 cruising, and pops the bypass open around 55-60 at wot. Cold it runs 60-70, never seen it go over 75. I know early trucks(01-02) tend to read higher as the sender is located up front right next to the pump, later trucks(03+) tend to read lower since the sensor was moved furthur away and after the filter iirc. I need to replace my sender as I know it's off some. It shows aroind 35-38 when the squirters open, but I believe they actually open around 30-32 for early lb7's if i read the specs correctly.

Mine was seeing about 15-20 at a hot idle before I rebuilt it. Reused the stock oil pump, and with the new bearings is sees 20-25 at idle hot.

During the rebuild, there was no evidence the low oil pressure had done any harm. I figured it was just 300k miles of bearing wear, which is why I reused the pump.

My lml is 15 to 20 hot idle and 38 to 42 hot at cruise speed of 1800 seems mighty low to me

Can't remember what mine runs while down the road I'm curious now. My truck has somewhere around 75000 or 80 been awhile since I've drove it being winter dnt want it out in the salt.
