just weighed Ironhyde in "race" trim, haha, 7350 with 13gal of fuel and driver....which means when we took everything out of the toolbox friday night we lost 550lbs:eek: during pulling season, we usually have everything in the tool box and weigh 8200 almost on the money, then if the rules require us to lose the front bumper, we drop to <7900

Old thread, but oh well :D

Leaving the dump yesterday weighed 7260 with me ,3/4 fuel, one battery, and no spare (tailgate on).

FWIW today I weighed the tailgate, spare, and battery.

tailgate = 48 lbs
battery with box for attaching to frame = 46 lbs
spare = 83.5 lbs :eek:

At scheids mine weight 6400lbs. I think their scales were light though, since i havent removed much weight yet. It had no back seat, 1 battery, and the spares gone and it has a roll pan. But it also has a cage to add some weight.

Mine weights 6700 with everything and a full tank of fuel. I dropped my tailgate spare tire jack and fuel level to under 1/4 and got the truck down to 6270 (6500 with me in it)and I also have a 5th wheel hitch and 285's on PYO's.

I think I can still lose 250 pounds with my setup though.

Mine at a pull was 7300 lbs with an extra set of tires and some tools in the bed.

Almost striped to race it was 6650. That was truck MT, 1/4 tank, no spare, no tail gate. Still had the seats in and me in it at 185. With the seats pulled I'm guessing I'm right around 6550.

I know this is old thread. Just bringing it back. I'm racing tonight without spare, backseat, subs, amp, taking out a battery, tailgate, jack and tools, and contemplating the front seat. Does anyone know the weight of the front pass seat? Is it worth it?

Any weight reduction will help but the question "is it worth it" is a question only you can answer. I personally don't do much for weight reduction, but other guys will stripp the entire truck to pick up a tenth or 2. I can't imagine just the pass seat will make much of a difference but it definitely can't hurt!
