I noticed the same with mine. A lot different than my 1056 I ran in my last truck.

I've talked to my contact at Allison and he agreed with me on the LML converter. He wanted to use a much lower stall ( which I disagree with ) but GM shot him down. GM's worry is that the turbo won't spool fast enough at high altitudes with a lower stall converter. I agree with GM given the converter choices Allison gave them.
Precision and Suncoast has gone way beyond with their converter designs because of people like you and me. The guys I know at Allison cannot do this although they are more than capable.

Hey Mike could you explain "coupling" a bit more for me? I think i have a pretty good idea, my thinking was it is how well the converter moves the truck when it is not locked? Is this correct?

Thanks

Dave Georend has a real nice converter for a twin setup. It is similar to the Precision twin/Cummins stator converter.

mike how does the converter dave has differ from the ml? what are we looking at for stalls on either of the converters

can you spec something similar through precision?

i have only used an ats triple disk but i am considering a ML for my trans refresh this winter, how would you guys compare the ats triple disk to the ML or a suncoast.. dont have anything bad to say about the ats but i havent used any other so i dont have anything to compare it to really. ran the ats in a 550rwhp twin turbo truck, will probably be more around 800-850 after the build im thinking
