I've used Collinite #845 on a lot of colors and always had good results.

That's a loaded question. It takes a lot more then a coat of wax to make a vehicle look good.

I tear shit up too fast for wax. But when I get a new truck or first get it fixed, I use meguires carnuba wax.

The new sealants out there will last way longer than any wax product, most will do a sealant and then top with their favorite carnuba

3m or frecla with a g mop pad.White pad for compound and black pad with lighter compounds or wax.Keep the surface super clean on darker colours or you will get nasty swirls in the sunlight.blow off compound dust before final glaze.This is for hi speed pollisher only but any carnuba wax will do by hand and keep surface cool out of sunlght or its a nightmare to get off.

Yes it is, especially if the paint has had some time in the sun (small pits), my black explorer is an asshole to wax if there is any hint of sun.

I like/do
collinite cleaner wax then
3m fill n' glaze then
3m polish n'glaze then
collinite 845 insulator wax

sometimes I switch out the 845 for collinite boat wax.only because,,,I have a boat and don't like to double up on waxes.

I also use and like the Collinite wax. Bought it based on reviews. I don't have extensive experience with a lot of different kinds but my vehicles look great with it.

Best is subjective and the best wax will just depend on the kind of effect you want ( whether you prefer a wet glossy, deep shine, etc).
