Whats the best rpm to shift at?

I havent really played with my trans tune much but I have it set to shift at 3600. It didnt really affect my time but my MPH was slightly higher. This is with a stock turbo.
Looking for opinions

On my truck anything past 3650- 3700 starts costing me et and mph from shifting slow , my rail starts loosing pressure past 3600 . I have ther air but not enough fuel , still making dec power but like I said shifts were slow .

I've got mine shifting around 3400-3450 now as before I left it with the stock tune and it would shift to soon. Likes it best around that area. Had shift as high as 3600 but figured that might be too much for my setup even though it clicked them right off. Hopefully hitting the track in a few weeks and I'll get a better idea of what works better.

Any rpm that takes the shifts out of the tq peak is beneficial to the Alli. A soft shift is not necessarily a bad shift and a firm shift is not allways a good shift. If you have a soft shift out of the tq peak there will be less damage.
Each truck is different and has to be fine tuned for best performance. Sometimes a slight tir-up on a shift works better than a clean slow shift.

i need to do the same. just doing test runs on the home dragstrip(driveway) with the stock tune let me know i need to raise them up. On some shifts especially 3-4 it gets under the turbo.

once i get the truck fixed again ill hopefully make it down to the strip, it opens this weekend weather permitting, but were getting snow so....

good to know i am not the only one blundering there way through it , mine feels really good at were i stated , in az i did alot of tweeking ( by no choice ) and scrubbed off .3 and 3-4 mph just from tcm tuning , but my truck was really shifting slow like back come off the back of the seat slow :rofl: got her figured out though , tcm tune that used to work great was worthless with my new setup .
