considering a swap. whats a LB7 short block with 170k and no issues worth? also a pair of LBZ heads with about 20k on them.:cool2:

the only thing that will be missing from shortblock will be reluctor, unless buyer can provide one.
First off no one is going to give 2k for a short block. Expect 800-1000. Most people will replace the rods and pistons anyways. 3-3.5K is what you would pay for a fully dressed long block with turbo and all accessories, wiring, etc. Heads are worth 300.
well, looks like I'm buying this LBZ. I'll have heads, valve covers, push rods, front brackets, I think manifolds, and maybe damper and pistons. motor had 24k on it. at least that's what I was told.
Also taking future bids on the LB7 short block. gonna need to be rid of it soon after its removal cause I wont be able to store it.
You are going to run your heads from the LB7 or are you swapping your trucks wiring harness out for a LBZ harness?
You'd be better off to pull the pistons and rods out of the LB7 and sell the block and crank. Most guys buying a short block are looking for something to build, and they're going to replace all that stuff anyway. You can take the LB7 pistons and put them in your LBZ block with the LBZ rods for a much more reliable package than LB7 rods or LBZ pistons.
my intentions where to buy new LB7 pistons since mine have 170k on them. thought I'd be playing with fire if I re-used them.

Okay, this is whats up for sale soon, if anyone's lookin'. LB7 block-crank-rods-cam. I'm keepin the pistons (unless you have a good set to partial trade and this one stays together). balancer & flexplate.
correction, pistons are included, along with oil pump. I'm keeping front and rear covers, reluctor,oil pan,heads,injectors, turbo.Except for head gasket starting to go- Motor runnin fine with no smoke. Plan to remove in the next 3-4 weeks. If anybody interest,make an offer and we can start making arangements now.
