What years are affected by pump rub?

I have a 2007 2500HD classic and wanted to know if i need to do the pump rub fix? What years are affected and need to do the fix before its too late?

Not 100% but I'm pretty sure the only ones that are not affected is the new body style. So yours would be affected. Give MikeL a call to confirm plus he sells the fix for a good price.

Thanks. MikeL said they haven't had too many problems with the 07 and up. I will give him a call monday.

Ya you need to pull the transfer case out. I have not done this yet so i can't tell you how hare it is. I think the hardest part is pulling the case out.

Thats the problem i am running in to. Some ppl say to do it and some say it's not a problem with the 2007 classic's. I dont want to do it if i dont have to. But if i have to i rather do it now before it's a problem. I have herd they changed cases in 2007 to aluminum so that fixes the problem. I guess i will call MikeL tomorrow and see what he says.

I believe all the 07 classics still had the 263XHD which should have a rub kit installed. NBS trucks are not at risk as I understand it. Take a look at the little circle tag on the back side of the transfer case and let us know what you have and we can tell you for certain if you are affected.

Update; once you look at your tag, compare it to the list of model numbers affected here.
