well, i think i am going to sell all of the go fast goodies and do a mild build. just rods, cut pistons and head studs. i will put my stock turbo back on and just run the stock CP3. not sure if i will mess with injectors if i have the money, i may just because it will be down that far already so i might as well. at least this way i will have both the motor and trans to handle some good power down the road and if i want i can always use some drugs if i want to go fast on the track....

I'd sell the Dual CP3 then add rods, head studs, and cut your pistons... that is good combination for 750hp probably more. I would never do heads just isn't worth it too me. You could keep your stock cp3 mod it and maybe squeeze 30-40hp out of it and still keep your twins.

your not going to see 750hp without dual cp3s

oh no i dont think i would do heads at all, i might rebuild the heads just because they have 125K miles on them and to add some insurance. with the maching work that needs to get done and everything else the twins are just gonna get sold. i can always buy new ones or just upgrade the turbo down the road any ways. i am sure once everything starts rolling i will keep everyone in the loop

I would spend the money on the rods. If you sell off your go fast goodies, you will end up regretting it and wanting them back. When you sell them, you will lose money. then buying new ones at full price later, you lose again. You are so close to full blown awsome, I think it is worth the extra strain on the wallet to have what we all really want. maybe drive a beater for a few months to save up or something, it will be worth it in the long run. (just my personel opionion though!)

Always get away with a build like mine. Rods, Pistons, Head studs stock main bolts. Stock cam stock heads. key the cam and crank. and have it all balanced.

Well I would love to keep everything but I don't really have the money to do the build unless I sell some things. Really don't have the money for the rods so I guess if I can sell the dual cp3 it will help out. The truck won't be gettin build until mid to late may anyways. So we will see guess even on the stock cp3 I should be able to have a fun truck.

What I do when my truck breaks is just suck it up and drive my abnormally slow 94 Eclipse with a 1.8L in it until I can scrape up the money to fix the truck. I don't think I could ever part with my go fast goodies unless im getting a better on. Im not a big fan of the 1 step forward, 2 steps back approach. It sucks sitting on an expensive truck like that but its worth it in the end.

I would sell the dual Cp3 and build the bottom end with with good rods and you will have a fast reliable truck

we will see. a few guys just want the piping and S480 cant really get anyone to take the cp3 even tho i have seen the same thing go for 2500 and im just asking 2000. so if i sell the piping, S400 and dual cp3 i will still have a fun truck to drive when i build it. Pat was in the 11's with it and i can always twin it down the road again.

here is what Chris had to say when he saw it "took a peak at your motor... its amazing. A big part of the block and oil pan is missing. When you look in the hole you can see main caps. The hole seems too low to have been from a rod letting go. Only tearing it apart will tell."

im hoping to get down there this weekend and start tearing it down
