What to do next?

So I just pulled my Dad's 28' 5th wheel over the Pass from Eastern Washington. Not really impressed! Anytime I started to pull a grade EGT shot up fast, 6th really bad, 5th helped, 4th if I wanted to cruise under 50 mph. I easily saw 1300*, quick! The truck has good power if I could ignore egt's! I am planning on a 2000 mile trip in a couple weeks, suggestions on what I might do? Thanks!

I don't know. Call them and they will tell you. Just realize though there probably isn't a magic solution to towing big heavy things up steep grades with a stock turbo that is going to keep things cool unless you slow down. I really don't remember what egts were with the stock turbo while towing heavy.

Good luck in your quest though.

Twins! :D i have efi live, and have towed Up to a 24,000lb trailer. Hottest my egts ever get was 1200f. Im really impressed with my tuning. Id look into some efi to help with your high egts.
