I have a true trac and it is great for the street but the ultimate street/race locker is the Eaton detroit locker

If you want the best street manners and a on demand spool get a arb. Sure you have to put in a air source, small compressor or small co2 tank with a regulator but its not that big of a deal. I have arb's in the front 60 and rear 14 bolt on my Cherokee and have had no problems other than a broken outer 35 spline superior shaft. Lol

Can you explain more? I was thinking about putting a grizzly in. Is it noisy or harder on rear tires?

Just at low speeds its kinda noisy, then it chirps the tires to turning slow speeds. Haven't had one problem with it, i'd buy it again.

Now this is off topic, but what axles does everyone run? I was gonna order the Yukon 4340 30 spline for mine

still running stock axles, and it did take some getting used to as far as driving habits. I am not gonna worry about axles until it becomes an issue. Mine is a daily driver in the 500hp range (just a guess havent dynoed it in about 4 years was 400)

How's the towing with the grizzly? I had it it my old Toyota but that was a small truck.

I tow a lot and heavy.

Is stay with a limited slip if I was you. It will react better to your described driving conditions. The true trac, in my opinion, would be the best for you based on how you use your truck.

Well I went with the Grizzly and some 38 spline axles. I was looking at the true track but got a killer deal on the Grizzly.

Where did you go with to buy the grizzly? I'm about to pull the trigger on the yukon or maybe an ARB since I already have a VIAIR 480c for the air horns.

I had an eaton posi in my old half ton...worked great. I could whip doughnuts on wet or dry pavement and I drove around a corner normal I didn't notice it lock up. Is there a locker or limited slip that performs like this for these trucks? Closest thing a Tru-Trac? My factory posi is junk. It won't even lock if I goose it around a corner under 30mph like it's supposed to and used to do. I like to get a little sideways every once in a while.

I ran a Tru Trac in my 2wd 7.3L truck and loved it. Worked great for daily driving but locked awesome when needed. I had it cryo treated before installing it to help durability at 1800lb-ft torque.
